The amounts and types of coverage that are provided can be different and usually depends upon the plan being purchased. The amount of coverage being provided by the plan, will determine the premium payments, along with the amount of the deductible, Riders, auto insurance quotes, etc. A term used to describe some of these plans is HMO's (Health Maintenance Organizations) and PPO's (Preferred Provider Organizations).

Short Term

Short Term health insurance is exactly what it says. It is designed for individuals that only need a temporary policy, and usually good cheap car insurance as well. Examples would be students graduating from college who no longer are being covered through a student health plan, and have not yet found a job, or an individual who is between jobs and needs short-term protection and auto insurance quotes.

Student Health Insurance

This is a form of health insurance that should be self-explanatory. Which young people leave home for college they are usually no longer covered by their parents' policy, and therefore they need their own individual protection. Policies of this type are designed specifically with the needs of students in mind.
